Before You Apply

Screening Questions

1Are there any children under the age of 11 living in or regularly visiting your household?

Mission K9 Rescue does not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 11. If you answer yes, please do not proceed with payment at this time.

2Do you currently have any cats living in your household?

At this time, Mission K9 Rescue does not have dogs available for placement that are confirmed to be compatible with cats. If you have cats, we recommend waiting to apply until an appropriate match becomes available.

3How many dogs currently live in your household?

Applicants with three or more resident dogs do not meet our current preliminary eligibility requirements. Households with multiple dogs may also be subject to additional review and placement restrictions.

4Are you seeking to adopt a dog with the expectation that the dog will be registered, designated, or trained as a service dog or emotional support animal, or will be expected to perform tasks or duties to meet a personal need?

Mission K9 Rescue dogs are retired working dogs and must remain retired. They may not be adopted for the purpose of performing service-dog tasks, emotional support duties, protection, or other working roles.

Final Acknowledgment

I confirm that I have read and answered the screening questions truthfully. I understand that meeting these preliminary requirements does not guarantee approval, and that Mission K9 Rescue may conduct additional screening before making an adoption decision.

I understand that the $25 application fee is nonrefundable except where required by applicable law, and that if I am approved to adopt, the fee will be credited toward my adoption fee.
